About CAPES

The Chaparral Association of Parents and Educators for Students (CAPES), a non-profit organization, is a group of volunteers dedicated to supporting the philosophy, programs, and activities of Chaparral Elementary for the benefit of Chaparral students. We facilitate communication, encourage and coordinate volunteerism, and foster a spirit of inclusion, partnership, and cooperation among the entire school community.

Each year, the state does not provide enough funding to cover critical programs & activities at Chaparral. CAPES holds 3 main fundraisers (Green Envelope Week, Jog-a-thon, and Parent Event/Auction) to bridge the gap.

THAT’S WHERE YOU, OUR PARENTS, COME IN.

CAPES is governed by a volunteer board of concerned parents, faculty, and community members who believe that providing students with an enhanced educational experience is the best way to prepare our children for meeting future challenges.

Without CAPES fundraising,
your children would miss out on the following:

• Reading Impact
• Innovation Lab
• ARTS Attack
• PE/Fitness
• Music
• Garden
• Assemblies
• Family Events
